We are enjoying them once again, Its so hard to let them go, but we have to remember that they turn into BIG pups and we have to many BIG pups. So we just love them for 6 weeks.

This is our first year in 4H.. And Anna did a awesome job.

She showed her Lab, Dutchess our 4h group has the largest dog group in Indiana.

She won 3rd place for Agility and 5th place in obedience and that was against 48 dogs and her first year so I think she deserves around of applause.

Anna Has worked so hard with Dutchess and I think its paying off. This is her first year in 4H and has spents many hours with this puppy.Some were spent in tears, But I encouraged her to not give up and she is glad that she stuck with it. She got one big thing out of the way tonight, the major thing comes Sat. But tonight I was SOOO proud of both of them.

Also thanks to all of you who came out and were there to watch her.

We are so busy we can not keep up with our selves. The kids are very involved with 4H and are doing wonderful. We have 7 goats that are with child and one that is due any day. So this is very exciting for us.

Anyone besides me bored with the blogs??? I go through spurts.

Most of you know that I was at Mayo. Much longer than I expected to be there. My Doctor here told me that he would not see me again until I was seen there. What they found, is that my muscles around my lungs are week. Some of the test they did are not back yet so I will no more details later. But because of this problem my oxygen sits low. I will have to go back every six months for rechecks. Thanks for your prayers.
In other news, While I was gone my hubby got sick so being Mr. Mom was pretty hard. I got home wed. night forgot all about the Valentines boxes, poor Emily went with out any Valentines. Connor and Anna ended up taking V. boxes they were not real pleased with but understood.
Hopefully we can all get back into our routines....

One of these days I will catch you up... But for now we are under construction.

if you come around be sure to bring your hard hat. We have pulled up the ucky carpet in the Dining room and have replaced it with wood. Now we are painting the ugly dark panelin white and what joy that is.. Being that my dear hubby works night and the kids have homework this is turning into a not so fun job. Soon as we are done I will post before and after pictures and hopefully that will be very SOOON!

Today my Sister and I decided to head to Lafayette while my Mom was working so she could not tell us not to go. So I packed up my girls and she packed up Nick and we hurried and did our shopping and the longer we were in town the worse it became. As we were headed home on 38 we began doing donuts and then went backwards into a ravine and hit a tree. Thanks to a GREAT BIG GOD we are all ok. Anna does have a small goose egg on her head but she is fine.

And no, I was not driving.

just to let you all know that we are alive.

I think my children put a new puke pail on the top of their Christmas List.
Never again will I not get Flu shots for the kids. This is the first year that I let it slip by. I have never put tp much stock in to them until now. They have not had this kinda flu in a very long time.
Just in case you are next on the list to get it. If you think you are better, go back to bed it will be a few more days. The worse is yet to come. My poor hubby who never gets sick had to miss 2 days work. Ugh. THANKFULLY... I dont know how, but I escaped everything but a belly ache.

I feel so blessed that God gave me the privilege of raising 3 little people that are growing before my eyes. But this little one blows my mind at how quickly she is becoming a little Lady. Don't get me wrong, She is not all girly. But having a girl is very scary in this day.While at her recent Physical her Pediatrician informed me that she would reach a big 5'10.
Enough about Anna I am sure she would not be happy with her Momma to know this was on her But I am proud of the little "lady" she is becoming.

In the midst of our recent whirl wind I have probably doted on my son a little more. Yesterday I walked into Emily's room where she was sitting cutting her Barbies hair. She then told me "look mommy I am cutting my hair like barbies" I tried to correct her the best I could with out letting her know I was about to burst.

And I was just thinking the other day how lucky I was that none of my kids ever cut their hair. HMMM That's what I get.

At least it was not very much..

We are doing treatments every 4 hrs. His Allergist says it will take a while for a complete recovery.

I know that in the midst of the Challenges I am facing, that God is much bigger than me, If you can imagine that. I am dealing with some unpleasant things , My Doctor has recommended that I go to mayo. I have discovered 2 lumps in my neck that is very concerning. My Family Doctor said that they feel ok, but with all my abnormal labs that he wants me to be seen there.
I am so thankful that we have a great big Wonderful God, I for once in a long time feel so little and hope that he can see me.

Long time no blog..

We are alive.. Just trying to adjust to our new president is really hard! But I know God will protect us and thats encouraging . This year I had the Privilege of working the Election polls, It was quiet interesting just about had to call the cops!!

In other news~ My Dear Anna has gone to Mississippi with my Mom and Dad and Sister and hubby. So we miss her very bad.

David and I left last weekend to go to Shipshewanna and we witnessed a terrible Tragedy that I will never Forget. A man and his wife walked out of the same Restaurant we did 5 minutes after us, only for her to get ran over by a car that had lost control. Unfortunately we seen it all, She was killed. It was the most horrible scene her husband was begging her to wake up.. It really made me realize how fast things can happen, It was very emotional for us. The thing that I really admired was that Karen Peck and new river was there to do a concert and the guys in her group and us were the only ones there before the Paramedics arrived they really jumped in and helped the lady's husband trying to console him and were not to proud to get bloody. I talked to those guys the next day and they 2 were left in a emotional mess as I was. This couple was there on there Anniversary had 5 Children at home.

Since we have started raising goats, I have met some very nice people. But one couple have been really good friends to us since we started this journey. I am thankful to call them our friends.
Besides raising goats they raise Pumpkins she had me bring out my Sister the other day to pick pumpkins and we had a great time and of course Emily and Nick did too.

I am so proud of my first cousin. I am anxious for his safe return home back to the USA.
But he himself said he needs to be in IRAQ. Today he told me that he enjoys eating with the people and loves the food they eat. Which is Goat meat, Chicken and Cucumbers and they love watermelon. He" said thats one thing he will miss when he returns home"

Just a little news from our funny farm.

I have been to busy to post anything. Since I last posted we have become owners of Boer goats. My sweet hubby was kind enough to keep loving me when I came home with a Buck. The plan was to just get does but I could not leave the poor thing all alone. So far he has not one any ones heart, He tackled with david yesterday trying to show him he was the man! (dont know who won)

Thanks to Andrew Wilhelm he has saved me from having to work on the fence he has helped us so much! I missed having him yesterday, I sure put my time in tying wires to post.

You know we also have ducks and Chickens.. I always thought Chickens hated water well, our ducks have taught them its not all that bad so now they swim along with them...:}

If you want to know about the pigs----- I dont have much to say except they smell very bad!!!

I have gotten just a little domesticated this summer...

Our Blueberries are a heaven sent. I have tried my hand at Jam and pie filling. And of course freezing.

Other great things we have going are Eggs~ fresh farm eggs are hard to beat.
And of course Tomatoes. Talk about good. I have enjoyed making salsa with them.

Last year..

Reality hit this morning!

After putting away pencils and paper for a few short weeks its time to get them back out. Its time to start a schedule all over again, new rules and new friends. Summers are getting shorter and my kids are getting taller. Life is such a strange cycle, but a great one to be a part of.

I think we are going to have a awesome year. I am so Thankful for our new Principle and his wife. Mr. & Mrs. Coleman. They seem like wonderful people.

My day started off with picking blueberries and then making B.B Jam and yes, it turned out ummy.
Next on my list was to pick G. beans,tomatoes...

That accomplished whatever is wrong with me kicked in and ruined my day. This medicine is supposed to put this into remission and I am not yet felling it. I pray that my Doctor can get more of a specific Dx, other than multiple connective tissue disease.

On the flip side... I have ruined my camera...So until I fix it or replace it you will get to read my journals... :}

God blessed us with such a wonderful place.. Every day I am so thankful that we have this beautiful place. The house is not the greatest, But the land is perfect for raising kids. A very sad thing happened yesterday...

The kids and I were leaving to go to a picnic and decided to crate our puppy since Steve and Ronny were in the back haying. ( didn't want the poor pup to turn into hay) But when we came home it was a worse sight... He was strangled to death. He had gotten his snout between two of the bars and could not get out. He was a great puppy didnt even go in the front yard. We miss him so much. My kids have really learned since living here not to get to attached. I think it was the cause of his death that really hurt so bad.

This picture is Emily taking him potty when it was raining he didnt want to go out... But the umbrella made it all better...:}

In your Prayer time could you please pray for my 1st cousin Tommy? He is in Iraq, today him and I have talked via internet quiet a bit while he should have been sleeping. He was telling me what he could.. I could only cry at what he has given up for our freedom. He was telling me what he wanted us to send and one thing was baby wipes he said some times they don't have time for a shower. I am so thankful that he is brave enough to fight these battles for us. Thanks to all our military men and women.

Dogs have not been successful here so we have gone to a pup...
I waited for a while to tell you about him to make sure he would survive. :} He is our garage sale pup. We were at a garage sale and they were giving them away because they were afraid the dad was not the "right " dad and they would not be able to sell them. Any ways he looks full blooded Lab. Even if hes not hes making a great farm Dog already.

SUMMER IS HERE!
I am loving every minute of having my Children home, we are just soaking up the sun and each other. Not a lot of time for blogging when you have so much grass to mow and animals to feed and books to read.
between all these joys I have made many trips to my Rhumatologist where I am having visiing many needles as well. At this time he is checking me for Lupus. I have many signs of it. But he also wants me to see a Hematologist since my white blood count is also low. ENOUGH FROM THE SICK BED!

of course Her Daddy was not very happy that I taught her he taught the other 2 and wanted to teach her but i beat him to it... Connor learned at 6 And anna learned at 4 (same time as he did) She could not let him ride with out her.. So yep, Emily is 6 and wants to be big. She learned all in one day.

With gas being at a outrageous price we are so thankful for our "Vacation home"
At times the view here makes ya think you are in Tenn. But reality hits ya. We are going to go to Branson Ms. In July but we will only have to pay for the "GAS" . Its exciting. We are getting to stay in condo for 200.00 every thing included!!

This is not intended for a pity party... Just to let you know where I am with testing and such.
I have had several visits with My Endocrinologist and I feel I have gotten no where She is a great doc and has ordered many labs my arms have so much scar tissue to begin with from prior testing that it is getting difficult to draw.However, We do not know any thing yet other that she feels she might need to send me to a Rhumatolagist. I had hopes that She would be able to find the answers.Very discouraging, My SER has elevated some more and I am already sick of the testing and not knowing. Please keep me in your prayers. On the flip side, I am thankful for a happy family and for what God has given me. We have so much to be thankful for.

Cooking is not my thing, But when I said " I do" it became my thing. I was putting it off until the last minute and then wandering what to cook, and sometimes close the kitchen and head to town. Now that gas prices are to high to start the car and the check book is drained... I am loving my new thing....
I LOVE cookbooks!!!!!
I plan out my meals for the week, cook them early in the mornings and I don't have to dread it through the day! I am loving it.

Mono update...

My poor babies..

I hate seeing my babies sick. Thank God they are better, Emily I think just a had touch of mono if their is such a thing. She did test positive but her symptoms were very mild compared to Connor's He is finally pulling out of the dirt. And is doing much better. Thanks for all you prayers, He told me that he could tell that he was being prayed for.

Before~ Lovely flat white paint.
After~ The top is a neutral color.Still shopping around for wall decor.

Slowly but surely I hope to redo the walls in the house. So far I have 2 bed rooms done and the rest rooms. The paint in here is Ucky flat paint.
Emily and I painted the hall Last week. She was a great helper, She stuck with me until the job was done...

Thanks to all of you that were praying with us for Connor. He was at the Doc. today and his labs came back positive for mono. Emily was also tested and was positive. This is her 3rd round with it. My poor babies. I had it 2 years ago and shared it with them. So now its them 2 and my Sister with it. So please keep them in your Prayers as well as me as I deal with the big babies..
